About Clincitop® Gel

Rating of sales:

Clincitop® Gel is manufactured by Universal Twin. It is a topical treatment for skin inflammations associated with acne vulgaris. Clincitop® Gel comprises Clindamicyn as an active ingredient. Clindamycin is a semisynthetic lincosamide antibiotic with bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties depending on the concentration. It is indicated for treatment of acne skin disease, including severe stage of acne and its scarring prevention.

Acne vulgaris is a chronic skin condition represented by numerous pimples, comedones, pus-filled lesions, and clogged pores due to the abnormal production of skin sebum. Acne is a response of our immune system to the abnormal growth of P. acnes bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes), which can happen due to genetics or increase in androgen hormones. This disease most frequently affects face, neck, chest, and back and may cause lifelong scarring of inflammations.

MOA (mechanism of action)

Clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria binding to bacterial 50S ribosomal subunits, therefore ruins inflammatory bacteria overgrowth. As an active ingredient of water-based gel formulation, Clindamycin has an intense antibacterial activity against blemish-causing Propionibacterium acnes bacteria.

Clincitop® Gel is normally applied to the skin 2 times a day, usually for 2-6 weeks. Some patients may need to prolong the treatment course up to 8-12 weeks for maximum improvements.

This medication works best if used at the same time each day.

Consult your doctor if you see no improvements in 2-6 weeks of Clincitop® Gel usage.

Before you apply the gel, ensure that the application site is clean and dry. Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area.

Wash your hands before and after using Clincitop® Gel.

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor.
