About Armotraz®

Rating of sales:

Armotraz® is manufactured by Cipla a non-steroidal aromatase enzyme inhibitor used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor-unknown early breast cancer in women who have experienced menopause.

Armotraz® is also used in women who have experienced menopause as a first treatment of breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other areas of the body (metastatic breast cancer).

Armotraz® is also effective in treatment of breast cancer in women whose breast cancer has worsened after taking tamoxifen (Nolvadex).

Armotraz® tablets contain Anastrozole as an active ingredient, which is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of aromatase, an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of the female hormone oestrogen and substances similar to it (estrone, estradiol) that are responsible for the progression of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Anastrazole lowers the levels of oestrogen in the body and effectively starves the breast cancer cells, thus helping to stop them from growing.

Take Armotraz® by mouth with a full glass of water with or without food.

Swallow Armotraz® whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing.

The initial dose of Armotraz® is 1 tablet once a day.

Armotraz® can also be used with other methods of treatment, such as surgery or radiation.

The recommended duration of use in early-stage breast cancer is 5 years, but no longer.

If you want to achieve the most effective results, do not stop taking Armotraz® suddenly.

Missing a dose

Do not take a double dose. If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember about the missed dose. If it is the time for the next dose, you should continue your regular dosing schedule.

If an overdose occurs and you are not feeling well, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
